Cumberland River Bluegrass Festival, Part 1

There were just two bands playing Friday night at the bluegrass festival. IIIrd Tyme Out was the main group performing Friday night this year. Here are just a few pictures...

(I was knitting)

That's it for Friday. We took a picnic supper, and had Salad Nicoise with stir-fried chicken, with the tomato and cucumber salad, along with hot peanuts for snacking.

  1. Looks like fun! And yay for those who keep their fingers busy in "spare" moments! What are you knitting?

  2. It's going to be a sweater...big bulky yarn, so it's going fast. I started it Thursday night while watching a movie, and worked on it for a little while Friday evening, and nearly all day Saturday. I've finished the body (worked in the round so no different sections) and half of one sleeve. And it looks like it's still going to fit nicely and not be sooo chunky like sweaters made with bulky yarn tend to be! It's green wool...don't know if you can tell from the pic.
